It is prohibited under law to sell bladed articles to anyone under the age of 18 in the UK. Since the passage of the Offensive Weapons Act 2019 it is also prohibited to post bladed articles to a residential address within the UK except where age verification is in place at the point of delivery.

What this means in practice for UK customers is that I will need proof of age before I can send you any bladed article. You will need to send me a relevant scanned document (passport, drivers licence etc.) after you make your purchase. Your item/s will then be posted with a service that requires an adult's signature before handover at the door.

If your shipping address is non-residential, please let me know, as signed delivery is not required. Proof of age will still be required.

Items that are not bladed articles do not require proof of age. If an item categorised as a sword/bayonet/etc is completely blunt, having neither an edge nor a point capable of breaking a person's skin, then it is not legally a blade and these too do not require proof of age. Wherever this applies I will include that fact in the item's description.

In most countries antiques can be imported tariff-free. All international parcels will be correctly labelled and tariff coded as antiques, but depending on your location there may be import VAT or other duties which must be paid by you, the importer, in order for customs to release your parcel.

Any item that contains products that would fall under CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) provisions, such as ivory, ebony or rosewood, will not be posted overseas. Wherever this applies I will include that fact in the item's description.
